Wood Door Styles FAQ

What if I want something more custom than the styles displayed?

In addition to the styles presented, we also offer custom style choices using any combination of rail and stiles thickness, framing bead, center panel, and outside edge options available from our full product guide.

On our Doors Order Form, you can select a 'Custom' style and then select your desired rail and stile thickness, framing bead, center panel, and outside edge combinations.

Or you can select a pre-set style, then adjust the various custom options from the pre-set configurations.

For any non-standard requests, please email us at doors@eagledovetaildrawers.com or give us a call directly at 978-681-6194.

What is the typical lead time?

Our standard lead time for cabinet doors is 1-2 weeks.

What wood types are available for Wood Doors?

We keep the following standard wood and material types in stock at 3/4" thickness only: maple - paint grade, maple, white oak.

Requests for wood types and thicknesses not listed above are available but may require longer than standard lead times. Other wood types include: birch - paint grade, birch, walnut, red oak, cherry.

How can I be sure my measurements are correct?

Head to our measurement instructions page for details on how to measure for door dimensions. All quotes and orders are reviewed by 3 different team members before being placed into production. If anything does not look normal or for any non-standard requests, a team member will contact the customer prior to the order being put into production to confirm order specifications.

Are your doors made using cope and stick or mitered joints?

Most of our doors are cope and stick doors. The Bar Harbor slim shaker is the only mitered door style we offer at this time.
